EAZ urges youths to be productive

President Edgar Lungu on Tuesday led Service Chiefs, Members of the Diplomatic Corp and the Youth in laying wreath at the Freedom Statue in commemoration of this year’s National Youth Day.
This year’s theme is ‘Zambian Youth; Generation Unlimited’.
Meanwhile, the Economics association of Zambia (EAZ) has advised Zambian youths to be productive and help in growing the economy.
EAZ President Dr. Lubinda Haabazoka is advising the youths not to be unproductive and spend too much time on social media but venture in activities that will be beneficial to the country.
Dr. Haabazoka says the youths can venture in business such as aquaculture which he says is a viable business.
He says Zambia has enough land and water that the youths can take advantage of to create worthwhile opportunities for themselves.
He has also said that there is a youth empowerment fund that some youths can access to start up some businesses.
He was speaking to Money FM News via telephone in a message to the youths as they commemorate the 2019 International Youth Day on 12th March.
