Energy Experts notes improvement in non-grid energy solutions

An Energy Expect has observed that a large number of people are beginning to divert from grid energy to alternative options in a bid to be energy effective at household level.

Speaking in an interview with Money FM News, Samson Mumba explained that in the recent past most household completely depended on grid energy which proved not to be very effective because of long load shedding hours.

“In the past people completely depended on grid energy for household use, but now people are beginning to see the importance of alternative energy solutions,” he said.

Mr. Mumba has however, perceived that due to continued load shedding people have turn to using alternative options such gas, LPG and solar which has caused some relief on the national grid.

“Public have increased usage of non-grid energy such as solar, gas, LPG and others which is a positive improvement in the sector,” he concluded.

Recently, there has been a lot of calls from government and stakeholders for the public to use increase usage of alternative energy solutions in a bid to relief tension on the national energy grid.
