FAZ President confident of playing out remaining 2019/2020 League matches

Football Association of Zambia President Andrew Kamanga says he is confident the remaining fixtures of the 2019/20 Super League will be played out with strict adherence to the Ministry of Health guidelines.
Speaking in his weekly FAZ President’s Column, Kamanga said the Association has taken note of the gaps and will work round the clock to ensure things get better going forward.
Kamanga said FAZ will continue working hand in hand with the superintending minister which is the ministry of sports and their counterparts at health to ensure the Association reviews the situation regularly.
“Going forward, we are confident that we should be able to see out the remainder of the fixtures with strict adherence to the Ministry of Health guidelines,” said Kamanga
“We have taken note of the gaps and will work round the clock to ensure that things get better going forward. We shall continue working hand in hand with the superintending minister which is the ministry of sports and their counterparts at health to ensure that we review the situation regularly.”
He revealed that through the Ministry of Health, the Football Association of Zambia has stepped up several measures including the testing mechanism that will ensure that all the teams meet this mandatory benchmark before playing any games.

He has implored the clubs to fully cooperate with the health authorities and ensure they observe all the guidelines.
On Saturday, Lusaka based National Division One Club Police College beat Kitwe United 2-1 in an historic match under the ‘New Normal’ while the second match involving Forest Rangers and Zanaco could not take off with Ministry of Health stepping in to stop the match following reports some Fole Malembe players tested positive for Coivd-19.
On Sunday, Buildcon hosted Power Dynamos with the match ending 1-1 before Zesco United also drew 1-all with Kansanshi Dynamos.
