Gold prices have rose more than 1% popping back up above US$1,700 with Spot gold up 1.2% to US$1,701.91 per ounce by 10:25 GMT.
Further Oil prices have rose on expectations of a recovery in the global economy with Brent crude up by 68 cents to US$68.92 a barrel.
