A Non-governmental Organization has urged government to encourage School managements in the country in view of the promised free education system as indicated in the 2022 National Budget to be innovative and creative.

Ambassadors of National Unity and Community Welfare President Collins Mulomba told Money FM News in an interview that this is in a bid for schools to sustain themselves as days that they used to depend on funds from Pupils are gone.

“Gone are the days that they used to depend on those funds that the school pupils used to pay so now that there is Free Education they cannot expect a lot from government,” he said.

Mr. Mulomba noted this would also reduce much dependence on the Constituency development fund (CDF) which the organization has fully welcomed.

According to Mr. Mulomba, “CDF has come, that we have received with our both hands but to some extent you may find that the school needs a lot of things so it is not everything that should be depended on CDF.”

He further urged parents to empower their Children for betterment of their future with Money that they could have used to pay for school fees to start businesses.

“To all parents in Zambia all I can say is that let them empower their children let them support them, despite them not paying schools, the Money which used to go for School Pupils let them be giving them they start business because the government has helped us, that is the only way we can even move on our economy. Said Mr. Mulomba.

Mr. Mulomba further revealed that Ambassadors of National Unity and Community Welfare would also be working with the vulnerable who cannot afford other school requirements regardless of government offering free education.

“We need to contribute something to them especially books and other School requirements,” he stated.
