Govt approves K13 million funding for Rufunsa 2022 CDF projects

• Government has also approved funding for 82 secondary boarding school applications, 257 Skills Development applications and 72 empowerment Grant Applications.
• The community projects are in the health and education sectors respectively.
• The projects will be undertaken quarterly.

Rufunsa Town Council has disclosed that Government has approved funding for various projects in the district under the 2022 Constituency Development Fund (CDF) valued at K13, 916, 550.
Council Public Relations Officer Rachel Chako revealed to Money FM News that government has also approved funding for 82 secondary boarding school applications, 257 Skills Development applications and 72 empowerment Grant Applications under the 2022 CDF for Rufunsa Constituency.
Ms. Chako stated that the community projects are in the health and education sectors respectively.
She explained that the funding approval will facilitate for the construction of additional classroom blocks at five schools, four health posts, and three staff houses among other projects.
“Other projects to be undertaken using the same funds include drilling of sixteen boreholes, mechanize a water system, procurement of 335 desks for various schools, a mortuary fridge and a CDF 4X4 open Land Cruiser,” Ms. Chako said.
She added that the projects will be undertaken quarterly while the list of successful applicants for grants and loan will be published in due course.
