HH challenged to publicly declare his assets

• President Hichilema should lead by example and state how much his business empire is worth.
• United Party for National Development Alliance-led Government has been preaching about transparency hence the onus is on President Hichilema to publicly declare his assets.
• Political activist has called on Political Parties and Councils to act on Campaign Posters and Billboards.

A Political Party has challenged President Hakainde Hichilema to lead by example by publicly declaring his assets.

Leadership Movement leader Richard Silumbe told Money FM news that,

“Though the current constitution does not give a clear cut on those charged with responsibility to run the country to declare their assets, President Hichilema should lead by example and state how much his business empire is worth to build trust in the people he is leading.”

Dr. Silumbe stated that the United Party for National Development Alliance-led Government has been preaching about transparency hence the onus is on President Hichilema to publicly declare his assets, the move that should be followed by all his subjects.

Meanwhile, a Political activist has called on Political Parties and Councils to act on Campaign Posters and Billboards.

Obert Namalongo said now that elections and campaigns are over it is responsible for Socialist Party, People’s Alliance for Change the Patriotic Front to pull down campaign posters and billboard in Kabwe, Mansa and Lusaka District and among others.

Mr. Namalongo urged city councils to engage the political party’s local structures in a bid for this call to be successful.

“Fellow Zambians let us be responsible and help clean up our cities by removing all our campaign posters and billboard.”

“This is our Zambia, where we should take responsibility and create an environment which is clean, green and healthy,” said the political activist.
