Integration process will benefit COMESA – Dr. Kayula

The Zambia Association of Junior researchers has noted that the integration Process that countries in the COMESA region have embarked on will take a long time to achieve and there will be a lot of challenges.
Association Vice President Dr. Peter Kayula, who is also a University Lecturer says the region needs to understand that the process is very involving and requires commitment from a lot of leaders.
Dr. Kayula however says that once the process is completed, a lot of Africans are going to benefit from it.
He was speaking in an exclusive interview with Money FM news in Lusaka.
He says “the regional integration has been there for many years, its been promoted, spearheaded by COMESA (Common Market for Eastern and Southern Africa). There are challenges which the COMESA member states have faced, but as we go on in the years to come, as we see the process unfolding, we’ll have more African countries benefiting more from the integration process than ever before”.
