Know how investors interpret policies – British Ambassador

The British High Commission to Zambia has advised that it is important for governmnt to be alert to how investors will interpret the policies that they implement.
Ambassador Fergus Cochrane Dyet says government should therefore be careful when they are considering to implemnent policies that have to do with Taxes, employment or how they relate with Mining Companies.
Mr. Dyet says this is how poverty will be eradicated in the country adding that the government alone cannot end poverty but with the help of the private sector.
In a related development the British Commission To Zambia has noted that the Zambian government understands the importance of fiancing to the Private sector despite it crowding the sector out on financial Markets.
Ambassador Fergus Cochrane Dyet says the biggest challenge that that the cuntry faces is the huge debt burden that the country has.
Mr. Dyet says in an interview that how the country tackles the highlighted challnges will determine how investors view the country.
