The Southern Cross Border Traders Association says the abolishment of the visa requirements between Zambia and Angola has potential to increase trade between the two countries.
Association General Secretary Jacob Makambwe tells Money FM News that Zambia should take advantage of this and export more to that country in areas such as agro-processing.
Mr. Makambwe says the government on the other hand has a bigger role to play in terms of encouraging traders to export more to Angola.
He says there is also need to improve on the infrastructure in order to trade smoothly.
Mr. Makambwe states that the government should facilitate trade with Angola by helping the locals on the goods that can be exported to that country.
He is of the view that Zambia has not explored much in terms of increasing trade to that country because of lack of information.
