NCC gets closer to its 2021 online portal strategic plan

National Council for Construction (NCC) over 45 percent of contractors have been registered for 2020 since the launch of its online portal.
Speaking in an interview with Money FM News, NCC Public Relations Officer Chama Mwansa has since described the online registration portal as progressive.
“Out of all the contractors of registered for 2020 over 45 percent used the online portal,” she said.
Ms. Mwansa however, says despite the progress, the only challenge is the payment module which is currently not running and still requires contractors to pay through commercial banks and attach a receipt.
“Our biggest challenge is the payment module which requires contractors to pay through the bank and submit their receipts but once that is fix they will have a complete paperless submission,” she added.
She has disclosed that the payment module challenge is being worked on and will be finalized in two months after which the entire registration process will be made digital.
The National Council for Construction (NCC) in its 2019-2021 Strategic Plan, disclosed aspirations to pursue and fully fledged off an online registration portal with the aim for contractors to make all registration and payments online via mobile phone.
