Over 5, 000 SMEs registered with ZDA

Vice President Inonge Wina has disclosed that there are currently over 5, 000 Small Medium Enterprises (SME’s) registered with the Zambia Development Agency (ZDA).

Mrs. Wina says this is in various sectors in the country including Agriculture, manufacturing and engineering among others.

The Vice President disclosed this when she officially opened the world Export Development Forum in Lusaka today organized by the international Trade Centre (ITC) in collaboration with the Ministry of Commerce Trade and Industry.

Mrs. Wina says the platform is essential as it is providing the necessary knowledge that SMEs need to add value to their products and services.

She says it will also connect the SMEs to multinational companies that can help them access the Global market.

Zambia is the Second African country to host the WEDF conference which has attracted about 600 international Delegates.
