PEIF assures Church of financial support

Presidential Empowerment Initiative Fund (PEIF) has assured the clergy of support by attending to all their challenges.
Speaking in Lusaka when he donated pockets of cement and other empowerment materials to the Partners in Mission, Fund Manager Clement Tembo said President Edgar Lungu remains very mindful about the welfare of the Church because Zambia was founded on the principle of Christian nation.
Mr. Tembo stated that prior to the 2016 elections, President Lungu made it very clear that he was going to establish a platform of exposure to support the vulnerable and those that are seemingly poor in society and yet viable.
“Every leader in the country that aspires for any type of position must remember that we are a Christian nation. I want to assure you that his Excellency prior to the 2016 elections, made it very clear that he was going to establish a platform of exposure to ensure that we support the vulnerable and those that are seemingly poor in society and yet viable.”
“Today’s ceremony is very important because we are signing a Memorandum of Understanding and I just want to assure the clergy and the Partners in Mission that we will support you 100 percent. We shall work with you hand in hand, we will attend to your challenges and we are going to support you full,” Mr. Tembo said.
He said the PEIF team will work closely with the Clergy as the Church has always been there to offer support to government although sometimes they tend to be forgotten.
And Mr. Tembo, who donated Egg incubators to the women at YWC-Partners in Mission works, said the Fund will also provide Bales of second hand clothes to support women, stating that Marketeers, traders and vendors are the wheels of the economy.
