A Real Estate Expert says Real Estate has been the country’s largest industrial sector comprising 27.5% of the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) with a growth rate of 15% between 2015 and 2020.
Speaking in an interview with Money FM News, Fairworld Properties Limited Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Chisebwe Fumbeshi also disclosed that players in the sector anticipate an increase in demand for Real Estate on the Copperbelt especially residential properties for both purchase and renting.
Mr. Fumbeshi stated that this is because the Province has experienced a tremendous shift in the demographic structure.

“The Real Estate (Building and construction) has been the largest industrial sector of Zambia comprising 27.5% of the GDP with a growth rate of 15% between 2015 and 2020,” Mr. Fumbeshi explained.
Meanwhile, Mr. Fumbeshi announced the appointment of Chomba Sikazwe as Fairworld Properties Director for Northern Region based at the Kitwe office.
He said Mr. Sikazwe, a graduate from Copperbelt University and a Registered Valuation Surveyor under CAP 207 of the Laws of Zambia, brings to the Company a wealth of knowledge and experience spanning over 8 years.
“Mr Sikazwe, a graduate from Copperbelt University and a Registered Valuation Surveyor under CAP 207 of the Laws of Zambia, joins a team of other Registered & Chartered Valuation Surveyors with more than 25 years combined experience,” he said.
