Selected basic commodities recording prices drops

• This development is observed in Agri-produce such as Sweet Potatoes and Pumpkins.

• More agricultural commodity prices are earmarked for further drops due to anticipated increase in supply

Having seen the inflation rate drop to 22.7 percent for the Month of April from 22.8 percent recorded in March 2021.
Some Essential commodities are gradually recording price drops in some selected trading places of Lusaka Province and more of this development is observed in Agri-produce such as Sweet Potatoes and Pumpkins selling for K10.
With the harvest season at hand, more agricultural commodity prices are earmarked for further drops due to anticipated increase in supply trickling to a further drop in the food inflation rate.
