Simon Mwewa lane market construction funded by well-wishers

The Government has explained that construction of the Simon Mwewa lane market is using funds donated by well-wishers to go toward re-construction of the gutted City Market.
Speaking during the Vice President’s Question in Parliament today Vice President Mrs. Inonge Wina says the decision was made to channel the 1.7 million kwacha raised from the fundraising venture to construct Simon Mwewa market because it did not meet the cost of re-building City Market.
