Tighten government expenditure.

An Economist has called on the Ministry of Finance to tighten further government expenditure in a bid to address current economic hardships facing Zambia.
Mr. Yusuf Dodia notes that Zambia is going through financial difficulties that need to be resolved by putting in place workable measures such as reducing salaries offered to certain sections of government employers.
Speaking in an interview with Money FM, Mr. Dodia says the revelations by government that over 90 percent of the national budget goes to personnel emoluments and debt is an indication that the country is going through a financial challenge.
During his state of the nation address to Parliament last week, President Edgar Lungu said personnel emoluments and debt stands at 50.1% and 40% respectively, giving a total of 90.1% of annual national budget which he described as alarming.
