UTH warns Vendors against Trading in Hospital premises

The University Teaching Hospital has warned vendors that they risk having their merchandise confiscated if found trading within the hospital premises.
Speaking in an interview with Money FM News Hospital spokesperson Natalie Mashikolo says the vendors risk being prosecuted once caught vending at the health facility.
Ms Mashilolo says traders that sale goods within the health facility do that illegally
She adds that says the vendor merchandise risk being incinerated once confiscated.
“Patients need time to rest, Doctors need time to conduct their rounds, hence vending within the health facility disrupts services” She said.
Ms Mashikolo says the hospital security department has since apprehended a number of vendors trading within the health facility.
Ms Mashikolo’s comment come in following concerns from members from members of the public, about the increase in vending within the health facility at the highest health facility in the country.
