The Ministry of Tourism and Arts notes that if sustainably utilized, the wildlife can create jobs and contribute to the socio-economic development of Zambia.

Speaking at a pass-out parade of 87 Wildlife Police officers at Chunga Training School in the Kafue National Park, the Minister the local communities that surround the game parks and game management areas should join arms with the authority to effectively protect the wildlife resources.
He said the country can raise more revenue from the sector adding that it will take concerted efforts in curdling illegal vices such as encroachment in protected areas for agriculture, unregulated harvesting of trees and poaching to realize the dream.
The Minister further implored stakeholders and the local people to continue partnering with Government in conserving the wildlife resources.
