• There is significant dialogue in terms of doing business in 2022.
• There is high predictable business environment that has been created this year.
• There are no shocks in terms of regular business policy changes through statutory instruments.

Zambia Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ZACCI) has observed that there has been significant dialogue on easy ways of doing business and predictability in 2022 compared to 2021.
Speaking in an interview with Money FM News, Chamber President Dr. Chabuka Kawesha noted that the high predictable business environment that has been created this year, has made it easy for people to do business in the country as there are no shocks in terms of regular business policy changes through statutory instruments.
Dr. Kawesha said this has contributed to the growth of businesses this year compared to 2021.
“There has been a steady growth which is mainly attributed to a highly predictable environment for business investment in the country. So it is very comfortable to talk and do business in the country now because there are no shocks in terms of regular policy changes in terms of doing business through statutory instruments,” Dr. Kawesha noted.
He added that while businesses have been operating, there is significant dialogue on easy ways of doing business and predictability that has given the year 2022 an additional growth than what was witnessed last year.
“Of course we do understand that 2021 had a key event with regards to public voting process but as we entered 2022, there was that level of comfort and we can say there is that level of confidence to be much higher than what was seen in 2021,” he added.
