ZANACO, Hungry Lion ink deal

• ZANACO to provide the pride family with Point of Sell (PoS) machines for all the 45 Hungry Lion Zambia outlets.

Zambia National Commercial Bank (ZANACO) has signed a partnership with Hungry Lion Zambia, to provide the pride family with Point of Sell (PoS) machines for all the 45 Hungry Lion Zambia outlets, cash collections via CIT, Forex services, Internet Banking, eTax, eNapsa and PayFlexi services.
Speaking at the signing ceremony, Zanaco Acting Chief Commercial Officer Chali Mwefyeni said the partnership sets the bank as the sole provider of financial service solutions to Hungry Lion.
Mr Mwefyeni noted that the Bank believes in supporting businesses, both local and International in a manner that contributes to their growth as well as the growth of the economy at large.
He added that with its extensive footprint, Zanaco is well poised to service the cash Management needs of Hungry Lion country wide.
“In this partnership ZANACO will be providing point of sell machines for all the 45 hungry lion Zambia. And I wish to assure the hungry lion management that our corporate and investment banking team has expertise to structure more tallied solutions beyond what is currently being offered,” Mr Mwefyeni said.
“These solutions include trade financing, are that traditional credit facility, investment and money market solutions among others.”
And speaking at the same event, Hungry Lion Zambia Country Manager Busu Mpepo, said Hungry Lion is excited about the partnership with Zanaco.
Mr Mpepo noted that as a proudly African business Hungry Lion is committed to make meaningful contributions to the communities it operate in, not only by creating more jobs to contribute to healthy economic growth, but also by supporting and working together with progressive business partners.
He said after 23 years of doing business in Zambia, entrusting the company’s banking needs with Zanaco does not only underpin the commitment, but also shows the pride it has in the Zambian People and local businesses.
“Zanaco’s Banking Footprint around the Country makes perfect business sense in regard to our partnership. As a matter of fact, wherever we have a store across the Country, Zanaco is there,” he said.
“This makes it easier for us to access our Banking needs whenever we need to and we are excited about the road ahead and look forward to a long and mutually beneficial relationship with Zanaco.”
