146km of roads under L400 tarred

Road Development Agency (RDA) says it has completed over 146 kilometers under the L400 Road Project in Lusaka.
Speaking in an interview with Money FM News, RDA Public Relations Manager Masuzyo Ndhlovu says it has gone far ahead with the schedule and has worked on Lumumba, Great North, Mungwi and Ngwerere Roads.
He adds that this project has created over five hundred jobs locally.
“This project created over five hundred jobs locally, sub-contractors were also contracted and they were able to do some work by drainages and pavements,” Mr Ndlovu said.
“On Lumumba Road RDA covered 7.2km in two directions because its dual carriage way giving a total of over 14 kilometres.”
Mr. Ndlovu says on Mungwi Road, the agency has done 6.6km, with the Great North Road having 6.6km from Lumumba Road junction to Kabangwe area and Ngwerere Road the agency has done 21 kilometers.
He further said very soon RDA will be getting to phase three of the L 400 project.
