2019 national budget impresses PMRC

The Policy Monitoring and Research Center (PMRC) is impressed that the government has prioritized domestic resource mobilization in the 2019 national budget.

PMRC Executive Director Bernadette Deka tells Money FM News that this is one of the submissions the center made to the ministry of finance during the consultation process.

Ms Deka says it is also pleasing that the government has put in several interventions to ensure that Zambia’s economy grows rapidly.

She says government has also done well to allocate a reasonable amount towards social protection programmes such as social cash transfer scheme, payment of retirees among others.

Ms Deka states that the government has done well to think of the vulnerable in society saying this will go a long way in helping them.
