3 companies to invest in North Western Province.

The North -Western Province Administration says three companies have so far expressed interest in investing in the province after the successful hosting of the Investment forum Expo.


Speaking in an interview with Money FM News, North -Western Province Permanent Secretary Willies Mangimela says among the companies is the Industrial Development Corporation that intends to put up pine apple canary processing factory.


Mr Mangimela says the administration has already singed the contractual agreement with the company which has since moved on site.
He adds that in 2020 the company is expected to be in full operation.


“Yes a number of companies have expressed interest to invest in the province as a result of the Expo that was held in August this year” Mr Mangimela said.
He said the National Pensions Scheme Authority has also expressed interest to invest in the province by construction 400 housing units in Solwezi.
Mr Mangimela said a lot of steps have been taken to implement the project.


The Permanente Secretary further said Mulungushi International Conference Centre is also expected to start construction a conference facility in the Province.
“Mulungush Conference Centre is coming up with a conference facility here in the Northern Province and they are clearing the area” He said.


In August this year the North Western Province held an investment forum Expo with the theme: “unlocking the hidden treasure”
