30,000 people benefit from the Presidential Empowerment Initiative Fund.

The Presidential Empowerment Initiative Fund team says over K14.7 million has been disbursed to various marginalized groups from 2015 to 2019.


Fund Manager Samuel Luneta told Money FM News in an interview that 30, 000 people among them, marketers, women and youth groups in six Provinces have benefited from the initiative since it was established.


He said the Six Provinces that have so far benefited from the Presidential fund include Southern, Central, Copperbelt, Luapula, Eastern and Lusaka.
Mr. Luneta added that the remaining Provinces will be covered this year.       
“From 2015 to 2019, we have disbursed over K14.7 million and 30,000 people have benefited in six Provinces,” Mr. Luneta said.


He stated that before the beneficiaries are empowered, they are trained on how to utilize the funds so that the resources are put to good use.
“We have engaged various stakeholders to ensure that the funded projects continue running and those that are not doing well we come in and help,” Mr. Luneta added
