Cross boarder activities slow down due to Economic challenges.

Southern Cross Boarders Traders Association has observed a reduction in cross boarder business activities as a result of economic challenges being experienced in the country.

Speaking in an interview with money FM News, Association General Secretary Jacob Makambwe says before New Year Eve only a few business activities took place around the Central Business District in Lusaka, owing to the fact that most traders did not travel out of the country for their purchase orders.

“There has been a little bit of a slowdown in the activities we have observed that most traders have not been engaging in the business as a result of economic challenges” He said.

Mr. Makambwe said the Association hopes to see stringent measures being put in place to in order to ensure that the economy is brought back to a place where people are able to engage in various business activities.
“To every business there is always an impact when the economy is not doing well.” He said.
