Absa Bank Zambia observes that the country has started embracing digital banking as more citizens are getting to know more about the platform.
Speaking in an interview with Money FM News, Bank Head of Marketing and Corporate Relations Mato Shimabale however said awareness campaigns on digital banking platforms have continued because the system is new in the country.
Mr. Shimabale added that the bank has taken it upon itself to invest resources towards the education campaigns in order to increase awareness about digital banking.
He has disclosed that “the education awareness is yielding positive results as evidenced by the huge number of its customers who are using digital platforms to access various financial services which currently stands at 80 percent.”
Mr. Shimabale is optimistic that more people will get to know more about such platforms as long there is continued investment in education awareness campaigns.
