All Enhanced Banknotes now in circulation

Zambia’s Central Bank has announced that all the new and enhanced Bank Notes are now in circulation.
Bank of Zambia Director for banking currency and Payment systems Lazarus Kamanga made the announcement at the monetary policy press briefing in Lusaka.
Minor alterations were made on the new notes slightly differentiating them from the old notes.
Features such as a securcoat Varnish feature were enhanced to the two and five kwacha notes, the Holographic Stripe and security thread were enhanced on the ten Kwacha note among other features.
Other alterations were made on the Tactile marks for the visually Impaired on all the enhanced notes, new elements were added to the twenty, fifty and one hundred kwacha notes among other enhancements.
The Bankers association has noted earlier in in an interview on Money FM that the new notes would not replace the old notes but that they would both be in circulation together.
