Centralize salary payment for council workers across the country.

The Zambia United Local Authorities Workers Union has reiterated a call to the Ministry of Finance and Local government to centralize the payment of salaries to all council workers across the country.
Union General Secretary Emmanuel Mwiinsa tells Money FM in an interview that implementing such a payment system will address delayed settlement of salaries to council workers.
Mr. Mwiinsa explains that any deferment on salaries to council workers has a direct impact on national development which in turn contributes to slow growth of the country’s economy.
Some council workers have not received their salaries for the months of August, September, 2019.
