Construction of Livingstone International Bus Terminus cheers South PF

Government has been praised for resuming construction of Livingstone International Bus terminus at a total cost of thirty five million kwacha as they have engaged Zambia National Service.
The Ministry of Local Government has engaged the Zambia National Service (ZNS) to complete the construction of the two projects following President Edgar Lungu’s directive.
Patriotic Front Southern Province Information and Publicity Secretary Trymore Mweenda says the decision by government to continue the works is highly commendable and a timely intervention as the two projects risked turning into white elephants as works had stalled since 2013.
Mr. Mweenda says it is also gratifying that the National Pension Scheme Authority (NAPSA) a Zambian entity will finance the remaining works at the two projects in Livingstone as well as at the UB Market in Mansa Luapula Province.
“This is a clear demonstration of His Excellency President, Edgar Lungu’s commitment to ensure projects with maximum benefit for citizens are expedited and completed in the shortest time possible based on availability of resources,” he said.
He has since appealed to Livingstone residents and Southern Province as a whole to exercise a little more patience as final construction works resume at the two projects and give maximum cooperation to the ZNS to carry out the works.
