E-Commerce not a threat to conventional business – Dot Com Zambia

An Electronic-Commerce company has noted that E-commerce does not pose any threat to conventional business, but rather complements it.

Dot Com Zambia Chief Executive officer Mawano Kambeu says business owners should use the online platforms to grow their businesses and reach more people.

He says this is especially applicable in a set up like Zambia.

Meanwhile, the Dot Com Zambia CEO has disclosed that the growth of E-Commerce in Zambia is slow due to fundamental structure issues that need to occur.

Mr. Kambeu says there is need for more structures that promote electronic activities.

He however notes that there has been an increase in mobile Money Services and banks that offer Visa Cards hence the country is on the right path to realising growth in electronic activities.
