The Economics association of Zambia (EAZ) has stated that it is looking to revolutionise economic development in the country and wants to see Zambian businesses strive.
EAZ President Dr. Lubinda Habazoka was speaking to journalists at the Kenneth Kaunda international airport ahead of the National Economic Summit slated for Livingstone this month.
Dr. Habazoka also says he is trying to see how Zambian airlines can compete with other airlines in the region.
He has appealed to government to continue investing in aviation infrastructure as no domestic airline can function without proper domestic routes.
And Mahogany Air Chief Executive Officer Dr. Jim Belemu says government should consider incentivizing the Avaiation Sector and reduce Taxes for the Jet A1 to enable it be competitive.
Dr. Belemu has also advised operators to inform the government on matters they feel are pressing.
He says the government has shown interest in the aviation sector and that is motivating to industry players.
