ECZ officially closes Nomination Centre

• ECZ conducted Nominations for Presidential Candidates in the 2021 General Election.
• Nominations were held at Mulungushi International Conference Centre from 17th to 20th May, 2021.
• 20 candidates paid nomination fees while 16 successfully filed-in their Nominations
.

Electoral Commission of Zambia (ECZ) says it’s Chairperson Justice Esau Chulu officially closed the 2021 General Election Nomination Centre yesterday.

The Commission said it conducted Nominations for Presidential Candidates in the 2021 General Election at Mulungushi International Conference Centre from 17th to 20th May, 2021.

“Before the official close of the Nomination Centre, ECZ Chief Electoral Officer Patrick Nshindano informed the media that 20 candidates had paid nomination fees while 16 had successfully filed-in their Nominations.”

And Candidates who have successfully filed in their nominations include Dr. Edgar Lungu Patriotic Front, Enock Tonga 3rd Liberation Movement, Sean Tembo Patriots For Economic Progress, Andyford Banda People’s Alliance For Change,
Chishala Kateka New Heritage Party, Kasonde Mwenda: Economic Freedom Fighters, Steven Nyirenda National Restoration Party, and Lazarus Chisela Zambians United For Sustainable Development.

Others include, Richard Silumbe Leadership Movement, Highvie Hamududu Party Of National Unity And Progress, Dr. Fred M’membe Socialist Party, Harry Kalaba Democratic Party, Hakainde Hichilema United Party For National Development, Dr. Nevers Mumba, Movement For Multi-Party Democracy, Charles Chanda: United Prosperous and Peaceful Zambia, and Dr. Trevor Musonda Selwyn Mwamba: United National Independence Party.
