Fairy Bottling business grows

Fairy Bottling Company Limited has noted that the scandal that happened earlier this year when some Chinese Nationals duplicated their Aquasavanna water brand has increased the publicity of the company.

FB Security and industrial relations Director Tinashe Chinembiri says this is despite the fact that the issue had raised insecurities among customers about buying the brand.

Mr. Chinembiri says more people have become aware of the product adding that business orders have increased since the scandal.

He says the Zambia Weights and Measures Agency now Zambia Metrological Agency has since come on board to help reduce the flow of fake goods on the market.

Mr. Chinembiri has therefore advised other industry players on the market to be persistent in producing quality products no matter the challenges they may face.

Three Chinese Nationals were earlier this year arrested by the Zambia Police and charged with copyright infringement.

The suspects were identified as Jiang Chunwa 79, Liu Guifen 68 and Liu Heling 39.

Police Spokesperson Esther Katongo explained that the three Chinese nationals illegally used the industrial design 20 litre water bottles of Fairy Bottling Zambia Limited.
