New FAZ-MTN Super League entrants Kansanshi Dynamos fans have been slapped with a two-match ban by the Football Association of Zambia following a complaint made to the Association by Young Green Eagles Football Club.
Young Green Eagles had filed a complaint with the FAZ Disciplinary Committee over the July 14, 2019 playoff match in Solwezi that they lost to Kansanshi Dynamos, citing inadequate security and unfair treatment as well as unruly behaviour by the fans.
FAZ Communications Manager Mwazi Chanda in a statement issued to Money FM Sports today says according to the ruling by the Disciplinary Committee comprising Mutakela Lisimba, Richie Nawa, Musonda Chibulu and Buchizya Mwalongo, Kansanshi Dynamos have also been handed a K10, 000 fine.
Ms. Chanda adds that the Disciplinary Committee handed a ban of fans and also a fine but upheld Kansanshi Dynamos’ right to play Super Division football.
Kansanshi Dynamos won promotion to the Super League after having defeated Young Green Eagles 5-4 on penalties after the two sides were tied 1-all after two legs.
