Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) president Andrew Kamanga has revealed that Chipolopolo head coach Avram Grant has already submitted a tentative program for upcoming national team assignments.
In his FAZ President’s Corner, Kamanga said the program covers both the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) and 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers preparations.
Kamanga however states that the World Cup qualifiers await the fixtures guide to tailor the preparations to the opposition.
“The Avram Grant led technical bench has already submitted a tentative program that covers not just AFCON preparations but also the FIFA World Cup preparations,” Kamanga said.
“The World Cup qualifiers await the fixtures guide to tailor the preparations to the opposition.”
Kamanga has disclosed that FAZ has already engaged government on the roadmap and budget for the AFCON.
“We have already engaged government on the roadmap and budget for the AFCON to ensure that we leave no stone unturned in ensuring that our lads are well prepared for the tournament. One aspect that stands at the top of our priority list is quality preparations,” he stated.
The Chipolopolo, who have already qualified to the AFCON, have a concluding Group H AFCON qualifying fixture against Comoros next month.
