The Ministry of Commerce, Trade and Industry says the India-Southern Africa Regional Conclave will provide a platform for Indian and the Zambian private sectors to identify priority areas and special projects for Indian investment and partnership, with a long-term commitment to Southern Africa.
Minister in Charge Christopher Yaluma is expectant that the Conclave will result in more increased business linkages, increased partnerships and improve the trade between Zambia and India.
Speaking at the India-Southern Africa Regional Conclave in Lusaka today, Mr. Yaluma adds that the conclave will provide Zambia with the opportunity to consolidate Bilateral Economic ties with India and facilitate the growth of business linkages.
A total of 221 companies and individuals are attending the conclave of which 46 are members of the Indian Business Delegation, 121 are locals and 54 are from Southern Africa Development community Member States.
