Link Zambia 8,000 to promote economic growth.

The BuyZed Campaign says the envisaged link Zambia 8,000 road project is a key enabler in promoting economic growth.

In a statement issued to Money FM News, Organization Founder Evans Ngoma said Zambia should emulate countries like Namibia which is striving hard to improve road infrastructure in order to make sure that all regions are inter connected for easy movement of goods and services.

Mr. Ngoma observed that if the road that links Mpika through Nabwalya and Mfuwe is done, it can potentially boost the tourism industry in Mfuwe and surrounding areas.
“Can you imagine if the road that links Mpika through Nabwalya and Mfuwe is done, what potentially it does to tourism industry in Mfuwe and the surrounding areas. Support services, locals benefiting from God given geographical locations,” he said.

He said since Local tourism amounts to buying local, when international tourists visit the country, they bring in the much needed foreign currency and sale the country’s brand, culture and its offing.
He added that through intense buying, local campaigns can help strengthen the country’s economy and encourage local financing for most projects as opposed to auctioning them through Public Private Partnership.

“This we must do as a country for us to attain some developmental goals we set for ourselves. It starts with the idea, implementing it so that it succeeds and seeing the results. We must get our hands on the deck and do all we can for future generations,” Mr. Ngoma stated.
Mr. Ngoma stressed the need for the country to engage the Namibian government and learn how they are managing to finance national such purse stretching projects.

“We believe Namibians are doing it, we had started and let’s get it done. Remember Namibia is one of the countries in the SADC region our founding President Kenneth David Kaunda and his team of very humble education managed to get independence,” he stated.
