Pilot Mapping for 2020 census reaches over 70 %

The Central Statistical office has noted that Pilot mapping towards the 2020 census for population and housing has reached over 70 percent.
CSO Acting Director for Census and Statistics says there are few areas left to cover in Lusaka and Chongwe Districts.
Mr. Sikanyiti explains that the pilot is concluding and details about the achievements will be given towards the end of the month.
The Central Statistical office announced the rolling out the pilot mapping exercise in January and February 2019 ahead of the 2020 census of housing and population.
Then CSO Acting Director for Census and Statistics Goodson Sinyenga said the full exercise would be rolled out to all parts of the country after February.
Mr. Sinyenga told the media at a briefing that the CSO was piloting digital mapping methods for the next census.
