Prince Harry, The Duke of Sussex, will undertake a visit to Zambia on Monday 26th and Tuesday 27th November 2018 to celebrate the historic relations that exist between UK and Zambia.
During his visit, The Duke will meet President Edgar Lungu to discuss Zambia’s World War One centenary commemorations, the UK’s support to Zambian peacekeeping troops, and Conservation issues.
British High Commissioner to Zambia, Fergus Cochrane-Dyet, said; “HRH The Duke of Sussex takes a special interest in Southern Africa and is assured a warm Zambian welcome during this first official visit to Lusaka”.
British High Commission Head of Political, Press & Public Affairs Tresford Mumba says during his stay, The Duke will meet young people and key figures working in the conservation sector, surviving veterans and widows of veterans, as well as people in youth empowerment programmes at Circus Zambia and BongoHive.
Mr. Mumba tells Money FM News in a statement that the Duke will also attend an event for The Queen’s Commonwealth Trust, of which he is President.
He says he will also meet Commonwealth Trust champions, funds and connects young leaders who are leading social purpose ventures around the world by giving them a platform that shares and amplifies their ideas.
While in Zambia The Duke will also attend a board meeting for African Parks, of which he is President.
