Produce value for money goods – BuyZed

• Buying local now has become a national theme.
• Manufacturers need to up their game in terms of producing value for money goods.
• They need to uphold the highest hygiene standards and invest in good packaging.

BuyZed Campaign has advised manufacturers to ensure that they produce value for money goods if the campaign on buying local products is to be desired by consumers.
Speaking in an interview with Money FM News, Organization Founder Evans Ngoma said there is need for manufactures to uphold the highest hygiene standards as they produce various goods.
Mr. Ngoma stated that food producers must also invest in good packaging so as to attract consumers to buy the product, because consumers are very particular about what they are purchasing.
“Buying local now has become a national theme, but if this has to be desired by the people, the manufacturers out there need to up their game in terms of producing value for money goods.”
“It should not be business as usual just because there is this pronouncement then everything we produce will be bought by the locals not at all. We need to uphold the highest hygiene standards as we produce various goods out there,” Mr. Ngoma emphasized
He said the organization has confidence in the local manufactures of various products that they will not fail President Edgar Lungu in his quest to persuade the locals to buy local goods.
“Also matters of packaging should be appealing in the sense that when a consumer wants to buy that particular product, he first of all smiles when he looks at the packaging. So investing in good packaging is one of the ways in which we can enhance purchases of the local goods. The consumers are very particular in whatever they are purchasing, so let us not relent let us do even better than before so that the Presidential pronouncement should not just be another story.”
“We have got enough confidence in you the producers and manufactures of these products that you will not fail the President in his quest to persuade the locals to buy local goods,” he stated.
