The Zambia Institute of Banking and Financial Services has observed that some refugees residing in Zambia are running viable business models which can be replicated by local citizens in order to growth the economic.
Institute Chief Executive Officer Victoria Mumba says in an interview with Money FM that refugees can be a source of viable businesses capable of supporting national development.
Ms. Mumba says financial institutions are working on modalities that will provide suitable services and products for such populations.
She was speaking ahead of the Conference scheduled for the 9th and 10th of October 2019, to be held under the theme “Financial Inclusion in an Era of Digital Disruptions: Enhancing sector Transformation”.
