A member of Royal bus crew, who has been in hospital since 17th September 2018 has died.
Rayford Bulaya sustained head injuries in the accident and was admitted to the Intensive Care Unit of Polokwane Hospital in Limpopo Province.
Zambia’s High Commissioner to South Africa Emmanuel Mwamba has confirmed the development saying Polokwane hospital authorities informed him that Mr. Bulaya has died from his injuries after a month long battle.
He says he is saddened by the passing of Mr. Bulaya as he was making good progress to recovery.
The bus accident which killed eleven people was travelling from Kitwe to Johannesburg, occurred when it suffered a front tyre burst.
The driver lost control and the bus fell on its side in Mokopane District.
The accident occurred on 17th September 2018.
With the death of Mr. Bulaya, the number of those killed comes to 12.
