Service delivery at the Nakonde – Tunduma one Stop Border Post to improve trade.

Transport and Communications Minister says there is need to improve service delivery at the Nakonde – Tunduma one Stop Border Post in order to increase trade between Zambia and Tanzania.


Speaking when he met Heads of Departments at the Border post Mutotwe Kafwaya said for Zambia to increase trade with other countries, there is need to have good infrastructure so that effective services are off to the transporters of goods and services.
Mr Kafwaya said government is keen to see to it that trade is increased with neighboring countries and this can only be achieved by offering good services at the entry point.
He says government wants to see to it that trade volume between Zambia and its neighbors are improved by addressing all challenges faced by transporters.


“Government under the able leadership of President Edgar Lungu wants to ensure that we increase trade by addressing all challenges the transporters are facing” He said.
And Nakonde Zambia Revenue Authority Customs Services Davies Mwanza said the authority recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding with their Tanzanian counterparts aimed at improving service delivery between the two countries.
Mr Kafwanka is in Muchinga Province to check on the developmental projects as well as interact with the transporters at the entry point.
