Siavonga residents to maximise Fish Farming.

The Siavonga District Administration has revealed that residents in the district have started obtaining application forms for them to venture into fish farming.
District Commissioner Lovemore Kanyama says the forms are being obtained through the department of livestock and fisheries and the office of the town Clerk or Council secretary.
Government secured fish farming loan investment from the African Development Bank (ADB) amounting to 50 million Dollars for fish farming investment programme to be spearheaded by the Ministry of Livestock and Fisheries inconjunction with the Citizens Economic Empowerment Commission.
Mr. Kanyama has urged residents to fully participate in the fish farming loan program and venture into the aquaculture industry.
He says a fish farming sensitization meeting was held in Siavonga district on 8th May, 2019 where CEEC officials were teaching residents about who is eligible for fish farming loans.
The District Commissioner has noted that the loans are given to three categories including Cooperatives,Women and Youths and Market small holders and producer groups.
