A solar energy technology manufacturing company says it plans to invest around 100 million dollars in Sub Sahara Africa over the next five years in the solar energy sector.
Azuri Technologies Chief Executive officer Simon Bransfield-Garth says solar energy has proven to increase household incomes for off-grid consumers especially in the rural parts of the country.
Mr. Bransfield-Garth says a small amount of technology has proven to work well for rural dwellers by increasing efficiency and productivity.
He says in an interview with Money FM News that over 5000 jobs have so far been created in rural communities as rural areas are where majority of off grid consumers are found.
The company C.E.O says his organization has also created opportunities for potential entrepreneurs to become business people in their own ways.
