TFO Canada working in alliance with ZDA.

Trade facility office (TFO) of Canada said, it is working in collaboration with Zambia Development agency (ZDA) to apply a feminist perspective to trade policies so that women can benefit from trade and export to Canada.

Speaking at workshop held on the women in Trade for inclusive and sustainable growth project, TFO representative Megan Foster said “Canada is working on trade liberalization which includes fair and equal opportunities for women in the sector.”

Mrs. Foster added that “Canada has projected to benefit 1.5 billion worth of Gross Domestic Product from women in trade which it plans on extending to the Zambian economy.”
Megan further added that applying a feminist approach to trade policies will break economic bearers and improve gender equality in both Zambia and Canada.
