Two Suspected Scammers nabbed

Police in Lusaka have arrested two suspected scammers who have been impersonating various business houses and people on the pretext that they sale various products online when in fact not.
Police Deputy Public Relations Officer Danny Mwale told Money FM News that working with Zambia Information and Technology Authority (ZICTA), Zambia Police recently conducted a joint operation in which the two suspects were nabbed.
Mr. Mwale said the suspects who have been identified as Paul Kawewe aged 21 and Mulemwa Mulemwa aged 22 both of Mtendere compound in Lusaka have allegedly been extorting and obtaining Money by False Pretenses.
“The two, who were found in possession of 25 different SIM cards are suspected to have been involved in multiple cyber related financial crimes by impersonating people on various social media platforms through advertising fake products online,” he said
He said the suspects are currently in Police Custody awaiting court appearance.
