Youths urged not to demonize foreign investors

The Zambia Youths in the fight against Corruption has called on Zambians to desist from demonizing or speaking ill against foreign capital.
Organization Executive Director Maurice Malambo says for any country to grow, it needs both local and foreign investment.
Mr. Malambo says Zambians more especially youths should not protest against foreign investors as they are aimed at developing the country.
“I must make it very clear that there is no country that can develop without both foreign and local investors. Youths should avoid being used as a tool to rise against foreign investors,” he said.
He said for Zambia to develop, it needs the participation of foreign investors whether coming from within the African region, Asia and or Europe or any other part of the world.
“Let me hasten to mention that Chinese capital is all over the world including in US, Canada, UK and these other developed countries. We should therefore take advantage of their presence in Zambia to develop and transform our country,” said Mr. Malambo.
He has since urged youths across the country not to be used in mobilizing to demonstrate against foreign investors or the government in expressing their displeasure on certain matters.
