Zambia ripe for MICE – ZTA

The Zambia Tourism Agency ZTA says Zambia has started bidding for huge international conferences to be hosted in Zambia.
ZTA Communications and Corporate Affairs Manager Betty Chabala says the country is ripe for Meetings Incentives and Conferences and Events MICE.
She said in an interview with Money FM that this calls for the need for more accommodation establishments to be made in the country.
Ms. Chabala says Zambia currently does not have enough accommodation establishments for tourists.
She however says the signing of Statutory instrument number 14 of 2018 by the Hon. Minister of Tourism and Arts Dr. Charles Banda will allow for collaboration in the hospitality industry.
The newly signed S.I empowers the ZTA to start Grading all accommodation establishments for the convenience of tourists.
